Each lesson will consist of Topics that will include one or more of the following: videos, articles, podcasts or website links and a Braille Bits lesson.
Braille Bits is an introductory course to braille designed to familiarize participants with the braille system, with braille contractions and their usage, and with the rules of braille. It provides 21 short lessons with podcasts and homework to reinforce each. For the purposes of this course, you will complete Lessons 1-10 of Braille Bits. For each lesson there is a lesson, practice and homework. These are to be done on your own, no need to submit anything. We do encourage you to take advantage of each lesson, practice and homework. If you are interested in continuing on with Braille Bits after the course, please visit the Braille Bits page on our website.
The Instructional Materials Center offers virtual office hours every Wednesday from 9:00 am – 10:00 am via Zoom. Members of the IMC Team are available to answer questions and provide information.
